Centered around the two communities of Iola and Humboldt, Allen County
hosts a variety of activities for young and old alike, and a number of festivals
are hosted for everyone to enjoy. Information about major events and attractions
are outlined below, with links to individual homepages if appropriate.

Biblesta has been held in Humboldt, Kansas on the first Saturday in October, every year since 1957. The name is a combination of Bible and Fiesta.
Veteran's Day Parade
This Veteran's Day memorial service and parade includes a fly-over, memorial service with speaker, musical entertainment, a bean feed and parade located at the Allen County Veteran's War Memorial on the southwest corner of the historic downtown courthouse square.

Attracts nationally-acclaimed performers to the area. Also houses a fine arts education center. The Bowlus provides display areas for local and visiting artists, while maintaining a permanent collection of distinctive paintings.
